MBSR 8-Week Program
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a structured eight-week mindfulness training program originally developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn and colleagues at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
The program offers systematic training in mindfulness through practices such as the body scan, sitting meditation, mindful movement, and bringing awareness into everyday life.
Rather than trying to eliminate difficult thoughts, emotions, or sensations, participants learn to recognize their experience more clearly and explore new ways of relating to stress and habitual reactions.

What Makes MBSR Different
MBSR is not designed as a quick relaxation technique.
Over eight weeks, participants repeatedly practice noticing the body, thoughts, emotions, and patterns of reaction as they unfold.
The emphasis is not on producing a particular state, but on cultivating the capacity to meet experience with greater awareness and choice.
